An annual community favorite, the Discovery Museum’s “Batty Ball” is sure to be a delight for families this year!  In keeping with the “Shark-tober” programming the museum is celebrating this month, this year’s “Batty Ball” will have an underwater theme.  Scheduled for Friday, October 29 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Discovery Museum, the event is open to the general public but tickets must be purchased in advance.  Families looking for a fun, affordable and safe way to celebrate the season can visit the museum website, stop by the museum, call or email to purchase tickets.  This family-focused event features a costume parade and contest, with the grand prize going to the costume with the best marine or underwater presentation, a variety of games and crafts, as well as pizza, dessert and beverages.   All of this in the safe and fun environment of the Discovery Museum where all of the exhibits and activities will be available to explore and learn from.

If you’d like to enjoy the benefits of museum membership for this event and all programs and activities, take advantage of the “Batty Ball” Membership special where for $100.00 you can renew or purchase an annual family museum membership AND get 5 passes to the “Batty Ball.”  That’s a 15% savings.  This special is available until October 29th but the family membership is good for 12 months.  For more information about “Batty Ball” prices, activities or general museum information, visit the museum website at www.smvdiscoverymuseum.org, send an email to programs@smdiscoverymuseum.org or call the museum at 928-8414.
