The Santa Maria branch of the American Association of University Women will present  a screening of the acclaimed movie “Iron Jawed

Angels” at their April general meeting.  The movie details the struggles of those who fought for voting rights for women.  Before the

screening, a light supper of sandwiches, dessert, and beverages will be served.  A discussion about how far the women’s rights

movement has come and what is left to do will follow the presentation.

The event will be held in Shepard Hall at the Santa Maria Library on Thursday, April 14,  from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The cost is $7.50.
