The American Association of University Women (AAUW) of Santa Maria will hold a deli lunch at Kirk’s Windmill Farms on October 15th, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  The highlight of this luncheon is Peter Cortez’s presentation entitled “Color in your Garden All Year Around.” Attendees, that wondered where all their blooms went last winter, will learn how to use succulents to brighten their yards all year long. The Windmill Farms’ nursery features roses and succulents, and an extensive assortment of pottery, along with fountains, benches, garden arbors, statuary, and garden art. In addition, Windmill Farms features a daily farmer’s market with a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, gifts and gourmet delights. Kirk’s Windmill Farms is located at 1275 N. Thompson Avenue in rural Arroyo Grande (east side of highway 101 freeway on Thompson Avenue). The deli lunch with speaker is open to the public, AAUW members, and guests. Reservations will be accepted until October 12th. To make a reservation, send an $18 check payable to AAUW, 1663 Chadwell Drive, Santa Maria, CA  93454.  For further information, call 925-5426 or 928-2881.
