“Treat” yourself to a wonderful time on Saturday, October 29th, where the “trick” is to help the Discovery Museum during its first annual “Bippity, Boppity, BOO Ball” Halloween fundraiser and gala.  This one-of-a-kind event will transform the Discovery Museum into one of the spookiest and most glamorous venues in town and offers sumptuous dinner-by-the-bite, signature cocktails, wine provided by Alta Maria Winery, music and dancing, and opportunities to bid on amazing items available in the live and silent auctions.  Semi-formal attire is requested but guests are encouraged to dazzle in fun Halloween costumes where prizes will be awarded for best male costume, best female costume and best couple.  All proceeds help to fund and support the weekly programs and ongoing exhibits that make the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum an important resource for local families.  There is no easier way for adults to support kids than by attending this great event, having a wonderful time, and helping to provide the funding so necessary for the Museum to maintain its high level of programming and service to the community.  “We know that Halloween is a great opportunity for adults to let the kid inside out for a little fun, so why not host our annual fundraiser as a great Halloween Party for adults,” shares Kelly White O’Neill, executive director of the Discovery Museum.  “An amazing group of creative volunteers have come together to put on this event and they have gone all out.  Between the décor, the food, and the entertainment, attendees will want to make this an annual tradition,” White O’Neill goes on to share.

New Years Eve at the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island’s West Coast,

participation in the 2nd annual “Candlelight Christmas Holiday Home Tour”—a progressive dinner and tour of three homes in Santa Maria’s Historic Carriage District, get the VIP treatment at the Discovery Museum’s Annual Kite Festival as the winner of the “Whole Kite and Caboodle” event package for 20, or learn the “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef” by attending a behind-the-scenes cooking class at the Central City Market.  These and many other amazing experiences and wonderful items will be available for bidding at the event.
