The Santa Maria Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will present a peak into the mysterious island of Cuba, when AAUW member Lynda Snodgrass shares photographs, impressions, and interesting Cuban trivia from her December 2010 trip to Cuba.  The program, entitled “A Tourist View of Cuba” will be held on Saturday, January 21st from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the Santa Maria Terrace, 1405 E. Main Street, Santa Maria.  Lynda Snodgrass, an amateur photographer and avid traveler, spent a week in Cuba meeting Cuban artists; enjoying performances by both the Tropicana nightclub dancers and the National ballet of Cuba; photographing the sights and people of Cuba; and celebrating New Year’s Eve in Havana.  In addition to viewing Lynda’s photographs and hearing about the island, a salad buffet lunch will be served.    Reservations will be accepted until January 17, 2012.  To make a reservation, please send a $17 check payable to AAUW, to 1663 Chadwell Drive, Santa Maria, CA  93454.  For further information, please call Marion Patterson at 928-2881 or Lynda Snodgrass at 925-5426.
