Lest We Forget: Honoring Santa Maria’s 97 Fallen Heroes

The public is invited as the Santa Maria valley Chamber of Commerce honors those Santa Maria Veterans who gave the last full measure of devotion from World War II to the present War on Terrorism. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 10:00am. The event will be located at the Freedom Monument Veterans Memorial, 600 S. McClelland St in Santa Maria.

The program will include a reading of the 97 names by local Santa Maria students, as well as ceremonial comments by Colonel Lavanson C. Coffey, 30th Launch Commander, Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The keynote speaker will be Bob Hatch, President and CEO of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Able Maldonado Youth Center at the same address.
