Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) announced today that it has restructured its governance and changed its name to Dignity Health.
In the rapidly changing health care environment, this new name and structure position the entire organization for growth and success. Our mission, vision, and values remain the same, as does our commitment to providing the communities of the Central Coast with excellent care.
These changes will have no impact on the operations, policies, or mission of Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, French Hospital Medical Center and Marian Medical Center. Marian Medical Center will remain a Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Order of the Sisters of Saint Francis following the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. Arroyo Grande Community Hospital and French Hospital Medical Center will remain non-Catholic hospitals, following the Statement of Common Values. Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, French Hospital Medical Center and Marian Medical Center remain committed to the overall health of the Central Coast communities we are so privileged to serve.
