St. Mary of the Assumption School is seeking donated items for their annual “Mardi Gras Dinner, Dance and Auction” fundraiser. Businesses and individuals interested in donating services or items for the auction should call the school at (805) 925-6713 or drop off the donations at the school from 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

The Mardi Gras Dinner, Dance and Auction is the school’s largest fundraiser. The focus for this year’s fundraising will be reading programs and school infrastructure.  The fundraiser also helps St. Mary’s keep tuition affordable.

“St. Mary’s school has been a part of the Santa Maria community for almost 75 years,” said Michelle Cox, the school’s principal. “Our students are everywhere.  They have become the foundation of Santa Maria from community leaders to business owners to volunteers and even the mayor.  Mardi Gras is our largest fundraiser and plays a vital role in ensuring we continue to provide outstanding programs.”
