The Santa Maria Branch of AAUW is hosting an old fashioned Western Hoedown on April 21st at the Foxenwood Tennis and Swim Clubhouse.  AAUW members, spouses/significant others, the public, and any interested parties are welcome to don western duds and join the fun to benefit the Legal Advocacy Fund.  A fun evening of line dancing demonstrations, cowboy bingo, and a cowboy poet’s humorous tales are guaranteed to entertain.  A gift basket containing western items from books to handkerchiefs will be raffled off to further benefit LAF.  The attendees will feast on a top sirloin barbeque complete with salad, garlic red-skinned mashed potatoes, French bread, and desert.  Though the standard coffee, tea, and water will be served with the dinner, wine will be available for a nominal additional donation.  This fun evening for real cowboys and city slickers alike will begin on Saturday April 21st from 6:00 to 8:30 PM for $25 per person.  Reservations will be accepted until April 12, 2012.  To make a reservation, please send a $25 check payable to AAUW, to 1663 Chadwell Drive, Santa Maria, CA  93454.  For further information about this fun evening, please call Nancy Hight at 937-6576.
