The music lives on as the Clark Center plays tribute to one of America’s rock legends with Winter Dance Party on April 21, 2012 at 8:00pm at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts.
This critically acclaimed national touring production features a dynamic live concert at every performance and includes over two hours of unbridled, high voltage entertainment featuring all the hit songs of the 50’s era such as: “That’ll Be The Day,” “Peggy Sue,” “Oh, Boy,” “Rave On,” “LaBamba,” “Chantilly Lace”and other songs that prove that the music did not die in that infamous plane crash.
Winter Dance Party has performed in front of over 2 million people on national TV for the Jerry Lewis Telethon, has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada at theatres, ballrooms, corporate events, casinos and even the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with John Mellencamp, Marshall Crenshaw and others. The group also played in the legendary Surf ballroom on the same day Buddy, Ritchie, and the Big Bopper did 40 years prior and also performed on stage with Maria Elena Holly (Buddy’s widow).
