Safelite AutoGlass® celebrated the opening of its Santa Maria store with a grand opening event on March 22, 2012. Members of the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, congratulating Safelite® on its growing presence in the community.

More than 250 guests attended the open house. During the event, raffle tickets were sold for a variety of prizes including an Xbox 360 + Kinect, tablet computer, digital camera and more, raising $400 for the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. Safelite® and other sponsors also made donations to the Humane Society for total of more than $2,000.

Safelite® moved into 2220 A Street, Suite #101, Santa Maria, CA, 93455 on October 17, 2011, to better serve area customers with same-day and in-shop service. The 7,000-square-foot facility holds 2,300 glass parts, making it the largest inventory assortment in the Central Coast.

Safelite AutoGlass® had traditionally provided this community mobile service, sending technicians to the customer’s home or office and will continue to do so. However, the new store increases accessibility to parts, thereby enabling faster in-shop and mobile service.

Dana Szczepanski serves as the store manager, overseeing six employees: four technicians, one technician trainee, and one repair specialist. Szczepanski expects to hire two more technicians soon.

“We look forward to continuing to serve the Central Coast community in a friendly and timely manner,” said Szczepanski. “Keeping people safe while they are in their vehicles is critical. Vehicle glass is an important element of a car’s structural integrity, and we are happy to perfor

m inspections to identify any risky chips or provide a quote on glass damage.”

Founded in 1947, Safelite AutoGlass® is the nation’s leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, providing mobile service to more than 95 percent of the U.S. population in all 50 states. For more information, visit
