Heroes and Villains Invade the Discovery Museum!

Thursday, October 25th is the annual community favorite, the Discovery Museum’s “Batty Ball.” Starting at 5:30 this wonderful costume carnival with games, prizes, food and lots of creativity is sure to delight families and kids again this year!  This year the “Batty Ball” encourages kids to get creative and consider whether they are a Hero or a Villain if they lived in a world of make-believe.  Batty Ballers will even enter the Museum that evening through a fun version of “Gotham City.”  In addition to the prizes for funniest, scariest and most creative costume, the best costume for a hero or a villain will also receive an award.  Included in the admission price are refreshments, including healthy snacks and beverages, lots of crafts, games, the exploration of all of the museum’s regular exhibits and activities, finishing with the best part of the night—the Costume Parade!   The event is open to the general public but tickets must be purchased in advance.  Families looking for a fun, affordable and safe way to celebrate the season can visit the museum website, stop by the museum, or call to purchase tickets.  As always, Museum Members receive a discount on these tickets.  To promote membership, a membership special is being offered that will give even greater discounts on Batty Ball tickets to anyone who becomes a member during October.
