The Colors of Christmas is the theme of the 38th annual Los Padres Artist Guild Christmas Show and Sale,  November 8th, 9th and 10th  at Lakeview Jr. High School, 3700 Orcutt Rd in Orcutt. The show will feature fine art and hand crafted items created by local artists. Mediums include jewelry, painting, dolls, ceramics, photography, and woodwork, as well as traditional holiday quilts, crochet and craft items.  “This year we will feature the fine art of silk paintings by local members of SPIN (Silk Painters International), “  explains Michael Corob, publicity and program chairman,  “The rich vivid colors complement our holiday theme as well, and make great functional gifts that can be enjoyed year round.” According to SPIN member Tina Porter, at the show will be French dyes on Silk, ice dye techniques, Shibori. The silk art will take form on wall hangings, scarves, flags, and jewelry items combined with dichroic glass. There will be also be silk painting demonstrations.  Proceeds from raffle drawings  and a portion of sales will support art student scholarships. Show hours will be Friday, 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM,  and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is free.
