Gina Keough, Visitor and Convention Bureau Manager

a great lineup of special events here in the Santa Maria Valley in February! This Frontline Staff Events Calendar is meant to be passed along to your Frontline and Sales staff to share with visitors who frequent your business (but locals find it helpful as well!).

Your assistance in promoting all there is to see and do in our city is greatly appreciated.

If your organization or business is hosting an event that visitors would enjoy, please be sure to post your event for additional promotion on our website. If you need a refresher or haven’t done it yet, please let me know and I’ll send instructions – super easy, just takes a few minutes of your time – but it makes all the difference in relaying to visitors just how much there is to see and do in our area.

Our VCB uses these calendar listings in a variety of ways to get promotion for our area and your events to boost attendance – so please help us to help you!

Thanks so much for your support!

One afternoon in the woods, Wendla and Melchior discover a desire unlike anything they’ve ever felt. In the whirlwind of their emerging desires, the teenagers, boiling with passion and roiling with guilt, also discover the beauty and risks of naiveté when their forbidden longings lead to tragic consequences. Winner of 8 Tony Awards, Spring Awakening is a rock musical adaptation of Frank Wedekind’s 1891 censored expressionist play about the exhilaration, trials, and tribulations of teens and the price of coming of age. Appropriate for audiences 17 years of age+ due to adult language and mature themes including sexual content. Severson Theatre, Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria. 1:30pm & 7pm performances.
