Lectures will be given in Lompoc and Santa Maria by experienced cardiologists
As a leader in cardiac care on the Central Coast ranking among the top 10 percent nationally for Cardiac Quality Care Measures, Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC), which along with Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH) and French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) comprise the Dignity Health Central Coast hospitals, is pleased to announce that it will host an informative community lecture in two Central Coast locations – Lompoc and Santa Maria. These lectures will address common heart topics such as heart attack, stroke, and cardiac arrest, as well as women and heart disease.
These Cardiac Community Lectures are designed to present community members with information on how to stay heart healthy, along with the valuable resources and programs that are available at Marian Regional Medical Center to foster heart healthy actions.
Before each lecture, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., free glucose and cholesterol screenings will be provided by the Dignity Health Laboratory Department for all participants. Also, each lecture will be followed with a question and answer session. Lecture dates, times and locations are listed below:
Lompoc lecture on February 20, 2014:
- Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Location: Montemar Winery & Vineyard
- 1501 E. Chestnut Ct., Suite E., Lompoc, CA
- Appetizers and wine tasting will be offered to all those attending

Santa Maria lecture on February 26, 2014:
- Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Location: Marian Regional Medical Center Conference Center
- 1400 E. Church Street Santa Maria, CA
- Please park in the patient/volunteer lot and look for signs that will lead you to the event
- Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided to all those attending
