The Los Padres Artist Guild Arts & A’s Show will be held Saturday, March 29th from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Luis Oasis Senior Center, 420 East Soares Ave in Orcutt. Paintings, photographs, ceramics, collages, silk scarves,  fabric bags, and jewelry by local artists and crafters will be exhibited and will be for sale. The Santa Maria A’s car club will display several vintage Ford Model A’s in the parking lot.  Chamber members are invited to donate items that will be placed in gift baskets that will be raffled at the show.  All proceeds from the raffle will support college student art scholarships.  Last year the guild gave $1000 to students. Brushes and Palettes, a group of women who paint together and exhibit together, will display their paintings in an adjoining room. “Many of the artists create works on the themes of spring colors, flowers, gardens and birds,” Michael Corob, publicity chairman explains. “It is always an interesting mix of the new life of spring and vintage Model A’s 80 years old.  There will be no cost to attend the show.  For more information about the Los Padres Artist Guild view www.lospadresartistgulid.com or call 937-6295.
