All performers of all ages are invited to audition for Santa Maria Has Talent 2014.

Open auditions for contestants will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Orcutt Presbyterian Church, 993 Patterson Rd., in Orcutt. They will continue on Sunday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m. Auditions are free.

A piano, a dvd, iPhone and iPod player will be provided.

“We are looking for singers, dancer, instrumentalists, actors, groups and choirs or ensembles of all sizes and ages,” said Georgia Shore, director of Santa Maria Has Talent. “Unfortunately, we can’t use bands due to set up time.”

Contestants will compete at 7:00 p.m., May 8, 9 and 10 at the Santa Maria Vet’s Hall. After two nights of preliminary competition, winners will be announced on Saturday, May 10. Prizes will be awarded in Adult, Teen and Children categories, she said, with contestants in all three categories having a chance at the $1,000 cash first prize.

The competition, which is open to the public, is sponsored by Santa Maria Rotary South. All proceeds will go to charitable organizations.
