The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitor and Convention Bureau, the largest pro-business organization in Northern Santa Barbara County, today announced that the organization’s President and Chief Executive Officer Robert P. (Bob) Hatch is retiring effective June 30, 2014. Hatch will continue to serve in his current capacity until a successor is named and an orderly transition is completed. His retirement will bring to a close an impressive career of 20 years of continuous service to the Chamber and the community.

“Bob has been a very strong and dedicated leader…the second longest serving President in the Chamber’s nearly 100-year history, and has overseen the organization through challenging times and transitions” said Donna Randolph, Chairman of the Board.

“The Board is grateful for Bob’s innumerable contributions to the Chamber and his distinguished tenure as our President and CEO speaks volumes,” continued Randolph, “We look forward to his continued leadership as we conduct a search for our new President.”

The Chamber Board of Directors Executive Committee, along with 3 independent board members, will act as the search committee and has retained Your People Professionals to assist in the process.
