A Pops Concert

Featuring

CAFÉ MUSIQUE

The Santa Maria Philharmonic returns to the Santa Maria stage with an exciting Pops concert featuring Café Musique at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church, 605 E. McCoy Lane.

The members of Café Musique may hail from the central coast of California, but they each have at least one foot planted deep in foreign musical soil. By merging four very different backgrounds, the quartet presents a rich mixture of styles including gypsy, tango, classical and folk. Combining powerful vocals with soaring violin and driving accordion, the listener will be treated to an exotic and exciting sonic journey around the world. The orchestra will come alive with special arrangements of the group’s unique music, by top Hollywood arrangers.

This performance will also feature the Santa Maria Philharmonic performing the music of Antonin Dvorak and Leonard Bernstein under the baton of conductor John Farrer. Tickets for this performance are $30, Senior and Military $25, and Student $12 and are available online at www.santamariaphilharmonic.org or at the door.  For more information call 925-0412.
