In 2011, California welcomed 517,000 visitors from China – 48 percent of the U.S. market share and an astonishing 29 percent increase from the previous year. By 2015, the number of visitors to California is expected to double to more than 1 million. Is your business “China Ready?”

To best prepare our local businesses to welcome this major influx of Chinese visitors, the VCB is  hosting a China Culture Class on Wednesday, April 30 from 10am to 11am at the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum’s new community room. There is no cost to attend.

The presenter for this class is Liane Aanderaa, a native Mandarin Chinese instructor who graduated from Beijing Normal University. She is currently teaching a series of Chinese Language and Culture classes at Allan Hancock College.

Please join us for this free class and rsvp with us: Space is limited to 50 guests. The Discovery Museum is located at 705 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria.
