The dizziest, funniest, backstage farce ever written, Noises Off careens us through the roller coaster lives of a hapless troupe of provincial actors as they go through the motions of a cringe-worthy comedy known as Nothing On. Noises Off is a comedy best appreciated by children 12 and older due to the more adult storyline. (sexual innuendo). Curtain is 8PM. The Festival Theater is located at 420 2nd Street, Solvang. PCPA Presents Forever Plaid
June 19-21 from 7PM-9PM
http://www.pcpa.org
This hallmark jukebox musical centers on a quartet of high-school chums whose dream of recording an album was ended by a bus collision on the way to their first big concert. Now they’ve been miraculously revived for a posthumous chance at musical glory, performing the show that never was and getting a final shot at fulfilling their dreams. With glorious goofiness the “Plaids” sing in the closest of harmony, squabble over the smallest intonations and execute their charming choreography with over-zealous precision. You’ll be humming along with the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950’s and rollin’ in the aisles from the delightful pate of the original clean-cut boy band – the Plaids. While appropriate for all ages, Forever Plaid will be best appreciated by children 10 and older. Marian Theatre, 800 S. College Drive, Santa Maria. $25-$37.50; special discounts for seniors, students, children, groups of 12 or more. (805) 922-8313
