Coinciding with its 51st season, PCPA is dropping “Theaterfest” from its name as well as “Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts.” As of now the professional resident theatre company will be known as PCPA – Pacific Conservatory Theatre.

The name change is intended to more accurately describe what PCPA is – a conservatory for the theatre arts as opposed to a conservatory for all the performing arts such as a Julliard.

PCPA remains the commonly used name since over its 50 years, the PCPA brand has become synonymous with the year-round theatre company that produces world-class productions in three venues and the two-year conservatory that provides world-class training for actors and theatre technicians.

Along with the name change is a newly revised PCPA logo.
