The music lives on as the Clark Center plays tribute to one of America’s rock legends with Winter Dance Party on Saturday, November 15 at 8:00pm at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts.

Winter Dance Party is the official live and authentic re-creation of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper’s final tour before their untimely deaths in a plane crash in 1959.  It is also the only show endorsed by both the Holly and Valens estates and stars Buddy Holly look-alike John Mueller, Ray Anthony and Linwood Sasser as the Big Bopper.

This critically acclaimed national touring production features a dynamic live concert at every performance and includes over two hours of unbridled, high voltage entertainment featuring all the hit songs of the 50’s era such as: “That’ll Be The Day,” “Peggy Sue,” “Oh, Boy,” “Rave On,” “La Bamba,” “Chantilly Lace”and other songs that prove that the music did not die in that infamous plane crash.

The Winter Dance Party show has performed in front of over 2 million people on national TV for the Jerry Lewis Telethon, has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada at theatres, ballrooms, corporate events, casinos and even the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with John Mellencamp, Marshall Crenshaw and others. Winter Dance Party has played in the legendary Surf ballroom on the same day Buddy, Ritchie, and the Big Bopper did 40 years prior and also performed on stage with Maria Elena Holly (Buddy’s widow).

Don’t miss the show that critics have said “captures the Holly era…a dead-on re-creation of the ’59 show.” The Winter Dance Party on November 15. Winter Dance Party sold-out the Clark Center in record time in 2008 and 2010, so get your tickets now before they are gone!
