After nearly 15 years as General Manager of Local Copies Etc., Sandy Stewart is retiring. James Jepsen, her longtime co-worker and second-in-command has been chosen to fill the top slot at the popular local print and copy center.
Sandy and James have a long history. They started working together in 1991, at a former independent chain store on Betteravia Road. Gradually they moved up the ladder together in management, forming a bond that made for an effective management team. When Curt Stahl and his business partner founded Local Copies Etc. in 1999, they chose Sandy and James to run their new business venture.
“It’s a challenge taking on this responsibility after working so closely together for more than 23 years,” says Jepsen of the move. “I’m certainly going to miss having Sandy around every day, but I’m glad she’s going to be able to enjoy her retirement. She’s worked hard and has definitely earned it!”
Other key employees who will take on expanded roles in the company are Mary Kay Dahlgren, who has been promoted to Production Manager, and Kyle Kinnison, who is now Lead Graphic Specialist. “Our people set us apart,” says Jepsen. “Service is a key element of what we do!”
