Sarah Kramer of Templeton will be receiving UnitedAg’s Agribusiness Education Foundation Impact Award at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa on Thursday, March 19th.

Most Orange County high schoolers do not wind up in agriculture. But Sarah Kramer’s grandfather started and ran an agribusiness and she was drawn to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for college after graduating in 2001. There, she majored in Agricultural Business with a concentration in Marketing and was very active, participating on the National Agri- Marketing Association Team.  She won a national title (along with her team members), competing and excelling against universities across the US and Canada in the Food Distribution Research Society-sponsored Student Case Study Competition, developing the best market strategies for real-life agribusiness products.

Upon graduating in 2005, she worked at Farm Credit West in Paso Robles, where she rose to the position of Vice President. In 2013, Sarah accepted an opportunity with Umpqua Bank, starting their agriculture specialist lending team in Templeton.

In addition to the agricultural focus in her career, Sarah is a member or on the board of California Women for Agriculture, California Cattlewomen, California Farm Bureau, The Heritage Foundation and the San Luis Obispo Ag Education Committee.

UnitedAg is delighted to honor Sarah Kramer, one of UnitedAg’s former scholarship recipients, for her contributions to and participation in furthering agriculture. She will be recognized during their gala dinner at their 35th Annual Meeting and Conference at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa on the evening of March 19th. She was a UnitedAg scholarship winner each of the years she attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has a clearly demonstrated a passion for agriculture and leadership, in and outside of her work.
