Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Santa Barbara County is seeking volunteers throughout Santa Barbara County and the Central Coast to help in our mission to assure a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every abused and/or neglected child by providing a highly-trained volunteer to advocate for them in the court system.

CASA is a team of approximately 300 volunteers who speak-up on behalf of our community’s most vulnerable children. As a CASA volunteer, you will have an opportunity to make an important difference in the lives of abused and neglected children by stepping into their life and advocating for positive change.

CASA volunteers are needed in Santa Barbara, Lompoc, Santa Maria, and Southern San Luis Obispo County.  No special experience is required. Volunteers are thoroughly trained and supported by a CASA Advocate Supervisor. On average CASA volunteers spend 6-12 hours each month getting to know the child while also gathering information from the child’s family, teachers, doctors, care-givers and others involved in the child’s life.

CASA volunteer training is provided, and is flexible to accommodate different schedules.  For more information on volunteering with CASA, please call: 739.9102 ext. 2594 or email
