On April 1 Marian Regional Medical Center took steps towards healthier living for both its employees and the community in a celebration of National Walking Day.  Staff and community members laced up their sneakers and participated in a mile-long walk in recognition of the holiday. Before the mile-long walk on one of Marian’s brand new walking paths that is officially designated by the American Heart Association, a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication was held with the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce for the newly opened paths. The event was attended by dignitaries including Councilwoman Etta Waterfield, Santa Maria Mayor Alice Patino, as well as MRMC employees and administrators.
