Carmel & Naccasha LLP announced that Emilie K. Elliott has joined the firm as an attorney.
Elliott has distinguished herself in many of the firms primary practice areas, including business and intellectual property transactions. She also brings a new skill set and depth of experience to the firm in health care law.
Elliott’s health care law practice comes with a unique background, as she formerly worked as a registered nurse in the ER of a hospital in Visalia.
After graduating from law school, Elliott went on to start her practice of law at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in San Francisco. Most recently, she worked for a law firm in her hometown of Visalia, CA where she focused her practice on employment law, health care and transactional work.
Elliott earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California.
While in law school, she earned the Peter Knecht Award for Excellence in Copyright, Contract and Entertainment Law. She also used her expertise during this time to serve as the production editor of the Review of Law and Women’s Studies journal.
Elliott is a member of the California State Bar Association and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
