Good food, music, games and festive exhibitors combined for a fun, entertaining and informative 2015 Santa Maria Business Expo at the Fairpark Convention Center and Park Plaza.
About 1,000 people turned out for the event, walking the aisles of booths full of demonstrations, friendly advice, and giveaways. The big prize winner of an oak pit barbecue went to April Litchfield who entered the Expo drawing along with hundreds of others.
- – The Historic Santa Maria Inn took the top prize for its festive, international booth, including costumes, decor and pastries adorned with toothpick flags from around the world.
- – Smith’s Alarms and Electronics took second place with its global decor, Egyptian sarcophagus and Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart costumes.
- – United Cerebral Palsy Work Inc. took third place for its international doll collection, costumes and global destination sign.
Plans are already underway for the 2016 Business Expo, which is scheduled for Sept. 8.
Current exhibitors are eligible for special pricing if they commit to a booth space by Sept. 18. The first 50 exhibitors who take advantage of the Show-Only special on booth pricing will be entered into a drawing to have their Chamber renewal fee waived for the following year.
