If you’re looking for authentic Mexican groceries you won’t find anywhere else, stop in at El Oaxaqueno Market. The family run market just opened a few months ago, and has already become a popular spot for many Santa Maria residents.
“It’s just food you can’t find other places here. You have many bakeries [in Santa Maria], but the taste is not the same,” Manager Froylan Garcia explains. “That’s what brings people here”.
Along with the unique and authentic bakery and produce items, El Oaxaqueno Market also offers fresh fruits and vegetables and a variety of freshly made juices. “Carrots, beets, oranges, strawberries and creme…we can make any juice you’d like,” Froylan said.
Froylan and his family opened the market to provide new options for shoppers looking for something a little different. “People will come in and try the bread, try the meat, try the big tortillas,” Froylan said. “They try all these things and they end up liking it and coming back”.
The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome El Oaxaqueno Market as a new member of the Chamber! You can visit El Oaxaqueno Market at 809 North Broadway, Suite D in Santa Maria. View the video below to learn more about this local market.
