The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce was excited to help Niya Restaurant, Inc. celebrate their one year anniversary. The restaurant, located at 205 E. Clark Ave in old town Orcutt, specializes in sushi and Asian fusion cuisine.
“We offer great sushi options, prime cuts of sushi,” said David Christison, manager at Niya Restaurant, Inc..
“On the Asian fusion side we combine elements of influences from everything from Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and Vietnamese cuisines to French fine dining and Italian and even some German elements.”
Christison is excited their restaurant can bring something new to the Orcutt dining scene.
“We wanted to create an environment that’s welcoming but also different than anything you’d find in old town Orcutt.” Christison said. “My hope is that people see Niya as elegent, classy but at the same time accessible. A place people can come with their families, but also a great date spot or for a fancier occasion like an anniversary.”
Niya Restaurant, Inc. offers a variety of daily specials that change every week. Fridays are their most popular days, when they feature the popular Vietnamese dish Pho.
“Pho is an incredibly hearty dish of glass noodles beautiful beef broth,” explains Christison. “it takes our chef all night to make the broth. We pair it with cuts of tri tip or rib eye and feature the dish during Pho Fridays. That’s definitely our most popular day.”
Their happy hour is also very popular, which runs from 5-7 p.m daily and features $2 pints.
