The Los Padres Artist Guild 13th Annual Studio and Garden Tour & Sale will take place on Saturday, June 18th, from 10 AM to 5 PM.  The Tour this year will showcase 9 venues in Santa Maria and Orcutt featuring more than 45 local artists. The variety of art being offered is dazzling, encompassing everything from paintings, photography and ceramics through jewelry, needlework and yard art. Tour books serve as passports for two people for the day.

Tour Coordinator Jean Rittenberg, says “The homes and gardens themselves are also a delight to behold.” Guild President, Susan Patton adds “We have added both new and beautiful stops on the tour, as well as some impressive new artists.  Most of your old favorites are still with us and will look forward to seeing you, too.”  At one stop in Orcutt you will have the opportunity to see work by the winners of the LPAG Scholarship Awards.

An historic home in the Santa Maria Carriage District joins the tour this year.  In addition to the 6 artists at this location, you may enjoy the antique roses, fuchsias, bougainvillea, a wisteria arbor, and an orchard of fruit trees.  A working art studio joins the tour as host to 5 additional artists in a wonderful yard and garden in Orcutt.  Every stop offers a nice mix of artistic offerings, delightful artists and interesting refreshments.  Many of the artists are now able to accept credit cards for your purchases as well.

Tour books that admit two people are available for purchase for $10 at Company’s Coming, 1100 East Clark Ave in Orcutt, Woody’s Butcher Block, 700 E. Main St. Ste. 104 in Santa Maria and at Ron’s Nursery, 850 West Grand Avenue in Grover Beach. A portion of the proceeds from the book sales supports art student scholarships. This year the Los Padres Artist Guild awarded $1000 in student scholarships.  For more information visit http://www.lospadresartistguild.com/ or call Jean at 934-3433.
