Join the fun at the 33rd Annual Autumn Arts Festival featuring the Kiwanis Grapes and Grains Wine and Beer Tasting event. The festival is presented by the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and is taking place on Saturday, October 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the McClelland Street Civic Corridor (400 to 600 South McClelland Street).

The free community festival will feature a fine arts show, youth and teen activities, an active aging section, food and art vendors, and so much more.

Participate in the festival’s 2nd Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest. The contest is an opportunity for residents and participating merchants, organizations, and schools to spread goodwill in support of the Autumn Arts Festival. Create a scarecrow that is traditional, whimsical, or humorous! Promote a business, school, or favorite hobby – just keep it family friendly! Scarecrow entries are free and awards will be given.  The deadline to register and have your scarecrow displayed for judging is Friday, September 23rd.

Classic car enthusiasts are invited to register an entry into the festival’s car show, where $500 in prizes will be awarded to the top show winners. The $25 pre-registration ends on Monday, September 26th. On-site registration is $35.

Bring the family out for a day of art appreciation, excellent food, and lots of fun for all ages.
