If you are an aspiring photographer and want to explore your passion, now is the time to jump in and learn how to become proficient in using your digital camera. Register now for a Digital Photography Level 1 class offered in the Santa Ynez Valley at the Allan Hancock College Solvang Center.

This class will help you learn what to look for when purchasing a camera, if you do not already have one. Various photographic techniques such as using a flash, shooting in low light, and capturing sports, portrait and landscape images will be topics covered, as well as manipulating images when print, emailing, archiving and using on the Web.

Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 18-Dec. 8, from 2-3:55 p.m. at the Solvang Center, 320 Alisal Road, Suite 306. A materials fee of $5 is required.
