Local artists who have always wanted to exhibit their works, and those seeking a new venue, are encouraged to apply to exhibit at the Santa Maria Public Library’s Shepard Hall Gallery. Those chosen may have their art exhibited for 10 to 12 months.

All artists must apply, and turn in the appropriate materials requested, by Thursday, December 8th. Exhibitors are accepted through a juried selection process conducted by the Library’s Art Advisory Committee. Please read thoroughly through the policy and FAQs before applying. Materials can be found online at the City’s website, at www.cityofsantamaria.org/library on the webpage titled “Meeting Room and Library Displays” or by email request at smplart@cityofsantamaria.org.

Artists may also pick up an application packet in person by contacting the Library’s Graphics Technician, Sara Voss, or by stopping by any of the Library’s service desks. Submissions can be mailed, or emailed.
