The Allan Hancock College Jazz Band will perform their Annual Winter Concert
on Thursday evening, December 8th, 2016 at 7:00PM. The concert will feature an eclectic mix of arrangements including: Back Alley Shuffle, Coconut Champagne, What Is That?, Hola, Senor Loco, Las Colinas, The Beat Goes On, and A Few Good Men. Kathryn’s vocals, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, The Man I Love and Embraceable You, and Michael’s vocals, Best Is Yet To Come, Nice ‘N Easy and I’ve Got You Under My Skin.
The group, led by Mr. Chuck Osborne, has been performing on the Central Coast for many,
many years. The band, composed of AHC students and other members of the community
enrolled under the Community Education program, features 20+ musicians in a standard “swing” or “jazz band” style configuration with a female vocalist, KATHRYN LOOMIS and male vocalist MICHAEL DIAS. The concert is performed in a church with very comfortable seating and plenty of free parking.
There are no advanced sales of tickets, and there is no admission charge for this event.
Donations will be accepted to help with the purchase of new music for the group. The concert will take place at 7:00PM on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 at the Unity Chapel of Light Church, 1165 Stubblefield Road, Orcutt, CA.
