The Santa Maria Public Library facilitates a monthly book club named The Valley Reads.  The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in Shepard Hall. The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

City of Santa Maria residents are advised there will be no trash and green waste collection services or street sweeping on Thursday, November 24th (Thanksgiving Day).
