“…for glory and for beauty.”
Reception Featuring the Art of Jill Iversen

Friday, February 17th,  5 – 7 p.m.

jill1Jill Iversen is this month’s featured artist. A California girl, Jill’s love of the mountains, wildlife, and animals inspire her art.

Jill graduated from Art Center College of Design with a major in Illustration. She loves to paint landscapes in acrylic, and usually uses water color and mixed-media for children’s illustrations.  Jill self-published and illustrated Goldie Hatches A Brood; a true story about a real hen whose own eggs would not hatch, her hankering for her own chicks…and how her dream came true!

She is also the illustrator for Lucy Learns to Fly; a story about a real filly who learns to jump despite being blind in one eye. Jill finds joy in teaching art and has taught all ages and mediums. In her words; “I am inspired by the beauty around us and want to use my artwork to remind folks
that we are surrounded by it and can be thankful for it.”
