The next meeting of The Valley Reads book club is Tuesday, April 25th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Study Room ‘F’, located on the second floor of the Santa Maria Public Library.
The book selection for April is One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. After Stephanie Plum’s Miata is repossessed, the New Jersey native turns to bounty hunting for some quick cash. The first quarry, an ex-cop accused of murder, turns out to be Stephanie’s first lover. The dilemma exists not in catching the man; it is instead knowing what to do with the culprit when caught.
One for the Money was named a New York Times Notable Book, a Publishers Weekly “Best Book of 1994,” and a USA Today “Best Bet.”
To join The Valley Reads, please come to the Library and sign-up with staff at the second floor information desk. The book club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 S. McClelland Street.
