We recently helped Community West Bank celebrate the grand opening of their new Santa Maria office location with a ribbon cutting!

Community West has been in the Santa Maria community for roughly 10 years, and recently moved their Santa Maria office to 122 E. Betteravia Rd in Santa Maria.

“The location is beautiful – we really like it,” said Peter Sterling, VP, Community Banking Manager at Community West Bank. “It’s more visible than we were in our old location and our customers seem to really like the new location, too.”

Sterling says one of the great things about the new location of Community West Bank is the layout of the offices, which was designed with their customers in mind. “We don’t have a teller line. Instead, each teller has their own desk so customers can come in and sit down and relax and be comfortable with their banker. It’s a whole different style of banking than you’ll see in other traditional banks, and we really try to keep our customers in mind.”

On the personal banking side, Community West Bank offers personal checking, savings, CD’s, IRA’s, and more. They also offer a variety of products for business banking, including business credit cards, full cash management services, online banking, mobility banking, and more.

Sterling, who has been a resident of the Santa Maria community for over 35 years, says his community involvement outside of banking allows him to better understand the needs of the local business community.

“I’m really active in a lot of the local charities here and I really enjoy this community, I know the needs of the community and I know the needs of businesses here, specific to this community,” he said. “It’s good to have that perspective and know the issues businesses here may be dealing with and be able to offer the products and services that will help them continue to succeed here in Santa Maria.”

Sterling says employees at Community West Bank go above and beyond with their customer service. “I really get to know my clients and build a relationship with them,” Sterling said.  “I act more like their partner than their banker, and really try to offer my advice and expertise but never tell someone what to do.”

Community West Bank is looking forward to growth in the Santa Maria community, on both the personal banking and business banking sides of their business.
