San Luis Obispo, CALIFORNIA – CAL POLY ARTS announces its exciting new 2017-18 season with 32 shows celebrating 32 years of presenting extraordinary arts and entertainment at the Performing Arts Center.

Offering a wide array of unique speakers and artists from all of the performing arts genres, Cal Poly Arts season highlights include an evening with living legend ITZHAK PERLMAN; brilliant Broadway tours of JERSEY BOYS, KINKY BOOTS, ELF THE MUSICAL and THE SOUND OF MUSIC; actor BILL MURRAY with cellist JAN VOGLER performing “New Worlds” – a “see-it-to-believe-it” evening celebrating classic American literature and music; six-time Tony Award winner AUDRA McDONALD singing her heart out, MICHAEL FEINSTEIN singing Sinatra and TEN Tenors singing songs of legends past; smokin’ bluegrass band STEEP CANYON RANGERS; intriguing indie music from ANDREW BIRD; a cappella country sounds from HOME FREE; the Taiko majesty of YAMATO; seductive tango from Buenos Aires and the SWAN LAKE ballet from Moscow; Hawaiian slack-key master KEOLA BEAMER from the islands and the family fun of the UNDERWATER BUBBLE SHOW from under the sea! And many, many more.
“This is, quite simply, the greatest season we’ve presented,” claims Cal Poly Arts director Steve Lerian. “I don’t typically make bold statements like that, but our 2017-18 season features many performances that we’ve been trying to present for years – legendary artists and shows that will surely pack the PAC and cause audiences to leap to their feet with cheers and applause. With artists of this magnitude, some performances may even sell out through subscriptions alone, so to ensure you get in, you may want to put four or more shows together and subscribe. It’s that big!”
