A Day of Fine Arts With Henry Asencio

Henry Asencio was born in Los Angeles and raised in Santa Maria Valley. He is an award-winning artist whose work is revered throughout the United States and Europe. His portraiture work is frequently sought out by art lovers near and far. Henry has a two-year wait list for new original pieces and has donated several pieces of art work to BGCSMV’s Annual Auction & Gala.
As a BGCSMV Club Alumni, Henry knows how important the Club is to local children and teens. On 6/23, Henry spent the afternoon teaching a charcoal drawing class to 20 Club members at our Evans Park location. He included some ideas the kids might use to participate in Katy Perry’s collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs of America for her #WitnesstheFuture Concert Tour.

Katy Perry, also a Club Alumni, is encouraging her fans to take action
and make a difference in the lives of our nation’s youth by supporting Boys & Girls Clubs. The partnership is intended to motivate people to take action and get more involved.
