The Santa Maria Public Library, in collaboration with Allan Hancock College, will host free Maker activities at the Library this July and August each Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funding is provided through a grant from the California Community College Chancellor’s office.
Join Library and college staff in the Library’s Edwin and Jeanne Woods Learning Center for three different projects each week. These projects include 3-D printing button making, card making, duct tape crafts, Lego brick building, mosaics, and more. Light instruction and mentoring will be provided, and makers are encouraged to work both independently and with other makers to explore new avenues of creativity.
Upcoming dates and projects may be viewed on the Library’s events calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/library.
