Arroyo Grande HS Theatre Company’s annual New Play Festival is a collection of short plays written by students, directed by students, and performed by students.
Every year we serve up theatre, hot and fresh, just for you. So, come and see who is going to win the top prize this year!

Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.

The classic story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof’s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

PAQUITA is known for its beauty and excitement with 24 dancers in lavish costumes. In one of the highlights, featured artists will perform solos from their favorite classical ballets.
The story is of love, mistaken identity and a happy ending. KINGDOM OF THE SHADES is one of the most celebrated excerpts in all of classical ballet. Twenty-four synchronized dancers will appear to float down from heaven. MOTHER GOOSE is a whimsical take on nursery rhymes.
It is filled with the sweet innocence of childhood and sprinkled with humor as in the Three Blind Mice conga line. Children ages three and up are invited to attend.

Our annual Season Announcement Party* is coming up on Tuesday, June 13th from 5 – 7 pm, so be sure to SAVE THE DATE!
Join us in the lobby for light appetizers, a no-host bar and some great company as well as a sneak preview of our 2017-18 season on the big screen in Forbes Hall!
