Two Bands! 30 Musicians! Roger Lloyd Wood’s Big Bands presents an afternoon concert of the most popular songs from the 1940’s featuring the”original” Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey. This band is “On Tour” performing in 9 California cities through November 2017.

Bill A. Jones is known to millions from his multiple appearances as news anchor ‘Rod Remington’ on the hit Fox TV show “GLEE”. Bill was recently named one of LA’s top Male Cabaret/Concert Artists. As a singer, Bill has opened for Tony Bennett and Steve Tyrell, and has toured with The Glenn Miller Orchestra. Bill swings the great standards in the tradition of Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble & others. His latest CD, “I’ve Heard That Song, Big Band Songbook”, was recently released to high acclaim. Nancy Osborne’s career includes performing with some of the greatest bands and orchestras, led by legendary Leaders Nelson Riddle, Tex Beneke, Ray Anthony, and Pat Longo. Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey were two of the top Big Band leaders of the 1940’s. Glenn Miller’s many greatest hits include “In the Mood”, “(I’ve got a Gal in) Kalamzoo” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo”. Tommy Dorsey’s greatest hits include “I’ll be Seeing You”, “Marie” and “Blue Skies”.
The show provides a non-stop 1940s music experience. The audience will “vote” for their favorite!
