Movie Night at the Library on September 11th

The Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to show the movie Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011), which is rated PG-13. The film will be screened on Monday, September 11th at 5:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall. This event is free and no tickets are required.

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close tells the story of Oskar (Thomas Horn) who is convinced that his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, has left a final message hidden somewhere in the city. Oskar’s journey through the five boroughs leads to a greater understanding of family and the observable world.

Seating is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served free of charge.

The Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Library is closed on Sunday. The Library is located at 421 S. McClelland Street.
