Thanksgiving Luncheon for Seniors

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and the Senior Nutrition Program of the Community Action Commission are inviting seniors 50 years of age and older to a Thanksgiving Luncheon. The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Elwin Mussell Center, located at 510 East Park Avenue.

Participants ages 65 and older will receive a free meal, and the cost for guests between ages of 50 through 64 will be $10 per meal. All meals will be served and eaten at the Elwin Mussell Center; no take-out meals are permitted.

Festivities include games and door prizes beginning at 11:00 a.m. with lunch scheduled to be served at 11:30 a.m. Donations of non-perishable food items are encouraged and will be collected at the lunch for distribution to local non-profit organizations that serve those in need throughout the holiday season.

Reservations for the luncheon must be made in advance between Monday, November 6th and Friday, November 17th. To reserve a seat, please call (805) 925-0951 extension 2207 on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
