Scholarship Fund
Since 2004, the Clark Center has provided over $150,000 in performing arts scholarships and grants to students and teachers in the Lucia Mar Unified School District.

Many past scholarship and grant recipients have gone on to lucrative careers in Vegas, London’s West End, on Broadway, and even in Hollywood.

Every dollar donated will go towards scholarships for Lucia Mar students continuing their education in the performing arts.

Every dollar brings us that much closer to hitting our $5,000 holiday appeal goal. Be a part of the legacy our students are creating.

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.

Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, BIG FISH is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and BIGGER than life itself.

“Christmas in America”

Come join us for the 10th annual Rotary Christmas and Holiday Sing-along. This sparkling yearly event features local singers, dancers and musicians. Most of all, the audience is the true star of the show as families and friends sing their favorite carols of the season.

Net proceeds go to music and arts programs of our local schools. The performances will include the Arroyo Grande High School Choir, the Lucia Mar Youth Choir, a theatrical performance from the Coastal Performing Arts Theatre Group and a special appearance by the Dulcimer String Band!

The show welcomes back the Grande Ringers from the Arroyo Grande United Methodist Church as well as the Paulus Carolers, pianist David Alm, vibraphonist Brad Lusk and the Estero Brass.

Arrangements are now being made for special appearances by Santa Claus! Plus, free holiday goodies and drinks will be provided for everyone in the lobby at the end of the show.

The lobby of the Clark Center is now decked out with 9 beautifully decorated trees and four wonderful wreaths.

These trees and wreaths all have all different themes and decorations. They were graciously donated and decorated by sponsors who want you to enjoy them during the many holiday events we hold.

Each artificial tree is decorated with ornaments and and gift certificates worth at least $200, as well as the tree itself.

You have an opportunity to win one of these lovely holiday trees and wreaths, as well their decorations AND help the Clark Center at the same time.

To win, you buy raffle ticket(s), and put them in the box in front of the tree and wreath you would like to own. The money received from these raffle tickets helps subsidize Clark Center activities through out the year. Drawing for winners will be held Monday Dec 18.
