Reopened Playground at Grogan Park

The playground at Grogan Park (1155 West Rancho Verde) reopened to the public last week after a two-month long renovation. The updated play structure includes new slides and climbing structures along with a new turf-like surface. The City Recreation and Parks Department began removing the previous play equipment and wood chip surface in the beginning of October of this year. The structure was nearly 20 years old.

Grogan Park is a six-acre park that includes a multi-purpose room, playground, walking path, and a picnic area. Restrooms are available on-site.

The goal of the Recreation and Parks Department is to replace or upgrade one playground each year. The next play structure to receive repairs will be Armstrong Park which was damaged by a fire earlier this year. Buena Vista Park is currently undergoing a complete renovation and is set to open in 2018.
