Local children and their families are invited to paint, draw, sing and dance with professional artists Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Discovery Museum’s 8th Annual Nat Fast Children’s Arts Day, a free community event celebrating the arts and the legacy of local artist Nat Fast.


Weekly Programs

Jan. 6: Science Saturday

We’ll combine science, math, and art when we make pattern block snowflakes at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m!

Passport Thursday

Jan. 7: Sunday Funday

Re-purpose a coffee filter into a beautiful snowflake. Try adding your name to it for a fun twist at 12 p.m. to 4 p.m!

Jan. 9: Tuesday Tales

This week Earhart made her famous transpacific flight in 1935. Brad Meltzer’s “I am Amelia Earhart” follows the determined aviatrix from childhood to her first flying lessons and onward at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m!

Jan. 10: Preschool Patrol

Celebrate the 82nd anniversary of Amelia Earhart’s transpacific flight by making a clothespin airplane this Wednesday at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m!

Jan. 11: Passport Thursday

Journey back in time and across the Pacific Ocean on pilot Amelia Earhart’s attempted flight around the world and make a cardboard airplane at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m!

Brain Builders

Jan. 11: Brain Builders

Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. we’ll experiment with chemical reactions to create a California snow day!

Jan 12: Fit Friday

Take one rainbow parachute, add some plush snowballs and a group of kids for a super-fun holiday game at 11 a.m and 2:30 p.m!
